Seventh Annual CEDER Conference Proposal

CEDER Conference Proposal – College of Education

Deadline
Proposals for the CEDER Conference ("Critical Legal and Research Issues for Educators in South Texas") are due November 30, 2009 (we have extended the deadline). Our online proposal form is available below (scroll down). If you prefer to fill out and mail a hard copy, download our printable proposal form here. You only need to fill out one form–online or mailed copy–not both.

Presentation Formats
CEDER conferences provide several options for presenting:

  • Poster sessions
Poster Sessions are something like exhibits. You present research or classroom practice in visual form. Participants circulate through the poster sessions and ask questions of the presenters. Presenters should have handouts descrbing activities or research. Each poster session will have one 30" x 72" table to display material. Materials may not be affixed to the wall; they must be self supporting.
  • Sessions
Sessions are 50-minute presentations delivered to 10 to 40 people. The presenter should make handouts available.
  • Institutes
Institutes are 75-minute in-depth presentations with comprehensive handouts. Participant interaction is encouraged. Institutes may have up to 50 people attending.
  • Roundtables
An informal 30 to 50-minute presentation for about ten people grouped around a roundtable. No AV will be available but handouts are desirable.
