CEDER: Center for Educational Development, Evaluation, and Research
CEDER's Board of Directors provides direction and guidance for the Center's research mission. The CEDER Board is comprised of one faculty representative from each of the departments in the College of Education and the principal of the Early Childhood Education Center.

Dr. Jack Cassidy, director
As well as directing CEDER, Dr. Cassidy serves as associate dean for graduate studies at the College of Education. At TAMUCC, he has also served as interim chair of the Department of Educational Administration and Research, and he has directed the doctoral program in education.

Dr. Randy Bonnette, board member
Dr. Bonnette is chair of the Department of Kinesiology in TAMUCC's College of Education. He is also an assistant professor of kinesiology.

Dr. Frank Lucido, board member
Dr. Lucido is professor and associate dean of undergraduate studies in the College of Education. He coordinates the Teacher Education Program and also oversees Project ISLA (Institute for Second Language Achievement).

Ms. Susan Luis, board member
Susan Luis is principal of the Early Childhood Development Center, an elementary school on the TAMUCC campus. She helps monitor, evaluate, and implement programs which focus on academic achievement, parent and community involvement, character education, and student safety.

Dr. Karen Paciotti, board member
Dr. Paciotti is interested in preparing pre-service teachers and pursuing research in her areas of interest, which include teacher caring behaviors, the impact of state accountability measures upon teacher caring and instructional behaviors, and curriculum and instruction.

Dr. Sherrye Garrett, board member
Dr. Garrett focuses her courses at TAMUCC on reading disabilities, adolescent literacy, and content reading. In addition to teaching courses for undergraduate and graduate students, she also directs the BEST Program, which provides opportunities for K-12 students in the Coastal Bend to receive assessment and tutoring at the university. She has also directed the annual TAMUCC Reading Conference since 2005.

Dr. Rodriguez is currently an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Educational Technology Program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). He founded and designed this program. He is an authority on teacher preparation in technology and instructional design. He has over 16 years experience in higher education as an educational technologist, teacher educator, and media developer.
